GEMS Winchester School, Fujairah (WSF) is on a very exciting journey using High Performance Learning as its core platform to ensure the highest standards. The High Performance Learning approach recognises that all learners have the potential to achieve the very highest results; it emphasises and develops the attitudes and performance characteristics required for this to happen. Working collaboratively with outstanding schools both here in the UAE and across the world, we have been implementing the strategies of High Performance Learning across the school since September 2020. Everyone linked to GEMS Winchester School, Fujairah is part of this unique journey towards achieving World Class School status with HPL.
GL Education: Advocate Partner Award
GL Education administers assessments that allow schools across the UAE to set baselines and track student progress and attainment. Their work is independent of schools is trusted in over 100 countries worldwide. At WSF, we are delighted and very proud to be the first and only school in the UAE (correct as of September 2021) to achieve the GL Education Advocate Partner Award, demonstrating the outstanding expertise present amongst the team here, and our commitment to excellence and high aspirations for all of our students.
EduCCate Global: Bronze Award School EduCCate Global
is the new international benchmark and standard in Climate Change Education and Sustainability; at WSF we are committed to this crucial element of education. From 2020, GEMS Winchester School, Fujairah set on special mission to be a sustainable school. To achieve this goal WSF partnered with EduCCate Global and has already achieved the Bronze Award, a recognized international benchmark of climate change education.
Pearson/Edexcel - Approved Examination Centre
Pearson’s World Class Qualifications programme brings together international assessment and education experts to develop qualifications that will support young people to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. Pearson Edexcel offers International GCSE (IG), GCSE, International Advanced level (IAL), and GCE A level. Learning Ladders
As a Learning Ladders ‘World Class Assessment Member School’, GEMS WSF enjoys a suite of tools that give teachers and leaders more accurate and meaningful data. Learning Ladders provides teachers with live gap analysis data to help them plan lessons, personalise learning and support students better. It also provides our senior leaders with high-level data analysis to help us give teachers and students the right resources and help.
SENDIA Award
This award helps schools deliver high-quality education for pupils with SEND. Compliant with the SEND Code of Practice, the award framework focuses on removing barriers to learning through early identification, inclusive teaching and leadership.
